Welcome to the 2019 Summer Playground Program

               Starts Monday June 24th  through Friday August 9th

The Summer Playground Program is a FREE day camp that promotes positive youth development and healthy lifestyle choices through fun activities. Our welcoming environment is offered to children ages 6 to12.
*FREE lunch will be provided on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at each site thanks to the Meriden Board of Ed.
*Field trip forms indicate which field trips are optional. 
*Be advised that their are certain field trips that will render the Playground site closed for the day. 
*Children can be dropped off no earlier than 8:30am
*Pick up time is 3:00pm. On rain days the schools will close PROMPTLY at 3:00pm. As a courtesy to the custodian staff please do not pick up late on rain days.  Thank you!!! 
The following four sites are available:
 
  -Baldwin Pond Park- 241 North Wall Street
 
  -Columbus Park- 208 Lewis Avenue
 
  -Habershon Park-  55 Meadow Street, South Meriden
 
  -Thomas Hooker Elementary School - 70 Overlook Road

You may still register your child for the Playground Program. 
Current physicals and immunization forms must be turned in and approved at the Parks & Recreation office before your child may participate. 
(If your child has an inhaler or EpiPen they need to be handed in with doctors and a picture.)
